Dear Lovers and Haters Alike:

Happy Frickin’ V-Day! I decided to share one of my favorite cd mixes with you. In video form! The theme of this mix is (roughly) Effed-Up Relationships, as reflected in the title. Specifically those I was involved in during my late teens and early 20′s. Well, except the last track. That’s basically my ‘Funky Town (the whack song you play to signify the end of the party) …but murder ballads Rule so listen to it!

I tossed this together in 2007. The videos are in the exact same order as the tracks on my mix. I tried to find as many dark and horror-related videos as I could. And yes, I know the selection shows my age…and that I didn’t embed the vids. I couldn’t care a fluffly fuck less. Heh. Enjoy!

-Hakk Wylde!

AM I GOOD ENUFF...

AM I GOOD ENUFF…FOR YOU.

1. Type O Negative - Love You To Death

  1. I remember hearing Country Death Song for the first time and saying, out loud, ‘Did he just say started making plans to kill my own kind?’ Cool list, Hakk. Love seeing the NBK song on there. Mickey and Mallory have always been faves of mine. And is that image for the Filter song from TFTC Demon Knight? It looks familiar.

    • Thx, Doc. And yes, that pic is indeed from DEMON KNIGHT. I just couldn’t find a vid that featured the movie that I preferred over the Official. And I was sleepy…so very sleepy…at 5am this morn. haha! *addslinkyabovehehe*

  2. Awesome compilation! There are a few songs that I really, really love:

    LOVE YOU TO DEATH
I’m not that much of a Type 0 fan, but I completely and utterly adore “October Rust”, IMO the perfect so-called-Gothic album. Every song there is pitch-perfect, especially Green Man, Bacchus and of course this uber-gem.

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU
Manson’s new stuff is crap, but I love his earlier albums, especially Mechanical, Grotesque and the bizarre Smells Like Children. Fantastic cover of a fantastic song. I’m also madly in love with CCRs version.

    IN YOUR ROOM
One of the most amazing songs from the most amazing album from one of my absolute favorite bands of all time. Love both versions of this masterpiece.

    FIRE IN THE HEAD
Outstanding song from one of the most underrated bands of all time. Only “SIster Awake” is better IMO.

    • You’re spot-on as usual, Maynard! And I’m even Happier to report that I read (just today!) that THE TEA PARTY is not only Back To Mutha-effin Getha, BUT they have a Live DVD out (Magickal concert filmed in Australia!) AND they will be releasing a new album this year. Wicked! }:D Oh! Mansun’s “Mechanical” is my fave of his. Really the only one where I feel he was truly artistically brave…and powerfully Bowie-like…and not just hiding behind derranged and sadistic sexual acts to be emotionally moving.
